Dominoes Complete Set, Bone and Ebony with Brass Pins, England c.1900

Bone and Ebony hand carved dominoes from the late 19th to early 20th century. This is a complete set of double sixes - 28 dominoes in total.

They are made of bone ('ivory' as it was called, from cattle or oxen, not from elephants!) and real Ebony timber with brass pins. They were hand made from natural materials and this shows in their irregular shape. They're attractive to look at and lovely to touch, as they have a really old, solid, heavy quality to them.

The box is mortised beechwood with a sliding lid.

Condition Box has a few pen marks on it but is in otherwise great condition. See images. As illustrated there are three with chips but these still show all their dots.
