Amazing reach for a lamp of this period, the steel counterbalance 'rolls' through the full range of motion giving perfect balance in all positions, and giving the lamp it's nickname, 'The Roller'. Horstmann lamps have a more stable function than springloaded lamps like Herbert Terry's Anglepoise.

Signed Hadrill and Horstmann to the cast aluminium armature.

This is a great lamp for architects, designers and makers - it will move where you want it to go without compromise and looks handsome in every position.

Interior of shade is original silver aluminium finish.

Beautiful gently restored condition. Arms in original black painted condition. Rewired and ready to use.

Maker/producer Hadrill and Horstmann Ltd, Goldamming, England
Condition Base and counterweight in original crinklepaint finish have had a light dusting of Matt Black paint to remove some unsightly marks. New rubber grommets in armature. Rewired, tested and tagged for safety to Australian Standards.
