Hand carved African Rosewood Tripod Coffee Table, c.1960
plus $40 postage
Postage price for Australia only. International buyers please enquire.
This African Rosewood tripod base has been carved from a single piece of timber. The legs represent three Cormorants with heads and tails extended in an alert pose. Cormorants are a symbol of plenty in coastal areas throughout Europe, the Near East and Africa.
The legs are interlocked and the tripod folds down nicely for moving/postage. Price includes bevelled glass top.
For Australian shipments, the glass top is optional as you may find it more economical to have a new top cut for you at your own location. Please discuss preference at time of purchase for an accurate shipping quote.
NOTE: African Rosewood is, since February 2016, subject to CITES controls on international export/import. Overseas customers please be aware of the time and expense involved in export of this item - up to 3 months processing, documentation to be completed by both seller and buyer and fees of about $150 AUD plus extra importation costs at buyers end.
