Tharsis Desk Lamps by Fase, Madrid, Spain c.1970

PRICE IS FOR THE PAIR

These chrome desk or bedside lamps are in the 'Space Age' style of the late sixties. They are very well constructed, with blackened steel tops, chrome body and white enamelled chrome interior. These have been rewired to meet Australian Standards and tested for electrical safety. They carry a 'test and tag' certification to the base.

They come from Spain's increasingly collectable producer of Futurist lamps, Fase Lampada.

These lamps have excellent functionality, with a wide range of movement in the arm and top half - you can point the light in a range of about 270 degrees by rotating the arm plus there is the option to completely close the lamp.

These came from a fabulous house in Templestowe in outer Eastern Melbourne that was built in the late 1970s and fitted out in 1980. The lighting in the house was all chosen by the family's professional interior designer and purchased from Armadale Lighting, which stocked all the finest European manufacturers. A collection of 70s lighting from the same address will be listed shortly.
