Bold colours in thick textured and glossy glazes are emblazoned on a set of nine tiles to form an abstract image. This is mounted on board and framed in stained hardwood, with a brushed aluminium box frame.
The colours are saturated and vibrant and will not fade. If you have a sunny spot that needs some decoration, these are perfect. They won't suffer for being in direct sunlight.
Rachel Savir built bold abstract forms. See other listings for the companion work or pair to this piece.
This work was part of a large collection of ceramics by a noted Melbourne collector. This piece was purchased in Israel during the 1970s, you can see our other listings for more midcentury ceramics and art from the collection.
