A vintage 1980s Lambis chiragra shell (African Spider Conch), beautifully mounted on a handcrafted custom metal stand. Stand painted black, with felt underside of base.

The shell is a decent sized specimen, measuring 22.5cm x 15cm to the tips. On the Stand, it measures 27cm high and 15cm wide. See images with matchbox for scale.

Two arms of the shell have chips at the tip. The shell is vintage and is not coated or polished, which means it displays beautifully as an unaltered natural specimen in the Victorian style.

Very good, tips of two arms are chipped. Stand is new, hand crafted metal with felt to base. Shell is not attached to stand, stand uses natural shape of shell to hold in place.
