Paul Secon for Sompex Lucite and Wire Space Age Table Lamp, 1960s

Paul Secon for Sompex Lucite and Wire Space Age Table Lamp, 1960s

A$900.00

A rare table lamp by Paul Secon. His lights are more commonly found as pendants.

It had lost is internal fixtures so we had our master craftsman make an appropriate white and chrome harp fixture for the interior, based on images of original Paul Secon table lamps. The new internal fixture highlights the clear Lucite design beautifully.

The internal fixture also makes it easy to change the bulb. Simply unscrew and remove the core. A bit like taking a core out of a nuclear reactor - very appropriate visuals for the period in which the lamp was produced.

Takes one B15 or SBC (small bayonet cap) bulb to max 40w for conventional incandescent bulbs. LED can go much brighter as they produce little heat. Bulb included in sale.

A splendid piece of 1960s Space Age design.

Tested and tagged to Australian electrical standards. Compliant for Europe, the UK, US and Canada but plug will need to be changed to suit your country.
