Four original large Lindner Leuchten Bauhaus ceiling or wall lights. This is a very unusual size to find in any quantity, being larger than the standard Lindner globe light. See images for scale set against a standard wine bottle.
This simple, elegant ceiling light or wall sconce shows the strong influence of the Bauhaus school on industrial design in Germany in the late 40s/early 1950s. They reflect the high quality, high functionality and simple, pared-back design of the Bauhaus perfectly.
Produced by Lindner Leuchten, Bamberg, Germany. This model is not one of the catalogued Wilhelm Wagenfeld designs but is influenced by his work for the company. It was manufactured by Peill and Putzler.
These have Edison Screw fixtures. Each takes one standard Edison screw bulb. They are ready for direct wiring and they are compliant with US, European and Australian electrical standards. A very simple installation.
Porcelain fixture and fittings with milk glass shade and threaded porcelain and glass closure (screws together in a clockwise direction). All in excellent condition.

CONDITION
Note that one light has had the wiring access point in the side of the porcelain fixture opened - this is clearly illustrated in the photographs. The overall condition of these lights is excellent. They are as if unused.
