Large Vistosi Smoke Disc Five-Tier Chandelier, Italy c.1975
LAST ONE
These five tier Gino Vistosi smoke glass disc and chrome chandeliers are from the late 1970s. In excellent clean and sound condition. Original wiring, tested and tagged (certified) to Australian Standards. Ready to hang and use.
These lights came from a magnificently designed and built home in Templestowe (outer North Eastern suburb of Melbourne). The house was completed and decorated in 1979/1980 and all lights were purchased at Armadale Lighting which was a high-end supplier of imported Italian and other European lighting at that time. This light was over a large Cardin brass and chrome dining table. It's twin was hanging in the adjoining livingroom with a medium sized matching light over the bar.
The house was complete with huge fishtanks, leather-padded bar, open fireplaces, split level and open plan living areas and a pair of double, solid timber entrance doors. A total gem. Unfortunately for the house, but fortunately for you and I, the first new owner since the house was built decided on a complete modernisation and was selling all the lights. More lights from this purchase to follow.
The frame carries 33 smoke glass discs and 10 light bulbs. The chain drop is one metre.
